Bernadette Lolita Williams was born January 27, 1950 in Columbia, SC. She was the beloved daughter of the late Ceven and Harriet Liverman. She departed this life on July 6, 2021 at the age of 71.
At an early age she was baptized and confirmed in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Columbia, SC, where she participated in several youth organizations within the church. She was educated in Richland County system, including Howard Elementary and Booker T. Washington High School. Upon graduation in 1968, she attended Columbia College earning a degree in business Administration. She was a Regional Manager at Alltel Mobile, managed several other businesses such as Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel, Studio Plus Hotel and Dollar Tree. She earned many awards and recognition including, “Manager of the Year, she was acknowledged for many years of service.
Bernadette was the widow of the late David Williams, Jr.
She was a very loving and caring person. Bernadette spent her time volunteering within the church at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and Greater Carolina Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for various events, baking cakes was her specialty. She was a people person and no one was a stranger. She would take anyone in and make you a son or daughter. She kept you entertained and she was always smiling. She was passionate about her grandkids and gave her all to help anyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cevem Liverman and Michael Liverman, Jr and her sister, Patricia Rumph.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Kenneth (Alethea) Liverman, David Williams III and Antonio Rodriquez (Shamica Fortick) Williams; grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, John Ranzy Liverman and Michael A. Liverman, Sr; an uncle whom was like a second parent, Robert Hughes; special nephews, Ceven Liverman, Gregory Williams, John “JJ” Rumph, Jr and Lujvan Liverman; special nieces, Evie Liverman-Johns, April Liverman and Denise Williams; sister-in law, Betty Ann Williams-Jenkins and a host of aunts, cousins, loved one and dear friends.
