With broken hearts and boundless love, we announce the passing of our beloved baby boy, Makai Breon Carter Waters, who gained his angel wings on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at just two months old. Born on April 29, 2025, Makai entered the world as a shining light—tiny, perfect, and deeply loved from the very beginning.

Though his time here was brief, Makai made a lifetime’s worth of impact. His sweet presence, peaceful spirit, and gentle soul filled our hearts with a love that can never be measured. He brought joy, comfort, and a sense of purpose to all who held him, saw his smile, or simply loved him from near or far.

Makai is survived by his loving mother, Ayauni; his loving grandparents, Michelle and Darrin; his proud siblings, London and Royal; his devoted godmother, Breonna; his aunts, Tanisia, Hazel, Shakira, Alisha, Keirra, and Jasslyn; his uncles, Kurtis, Jabian, Jolor, Shannon, and Jamall; his god siblings, LaTravis, BreAsia, and Skylar; and his cousins, Travis, Taylor, Tionna, Naomi, Darreon, Quintirea, Josiah, Ashley, and Shanelle, who all loved and cherished him deeply.

He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
