Austin Tyler Morgan

October 16, 2003 ~ September 14, 2023 (age 19) 19 Years Old

As a cool breeze embraced the earth on Saturday, October 16, 2003, sounds of a baby’s cry was heard throughout Richland County, South Carolina. How proud was Dilya Morris and Ron Morgan. Her baby boy would be named Austin Tyler Morgan. On Thursday, September 14, 2023, Austin was suddenly called home.

Austin graduated from Irmo High School in South Carolina and worked at Meetze Plumbing. He was hardworking, loved mechanics, working with his hands, and any new fun adventure.  Austin was a genuine outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. He was known for his constant smile and loving nature.

Austin was an energetic and high-spirited individual who was always ready to help others. He was a devoted protector to his nieces and nephews, especially to his mom. He had a deep appreciation for his mom’s cooking and was a true mama’s boy. We will remember Austin for his infectious smile, his attempts at cutting his own hair, and his enthusiasm for life.

Austin was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Pauline Perry, Caluph Morgan Sr., and Jessie Mae Ritter; grandfather, Ernest Morgan; aunt, Chandre Morgan; maternal great-grandparents, Clyde (Rebecca) Frazier.

He leaves behind cherished memories of love and kindness to his mother, Dilya (Jamie) Morris, of the home; and his father, Ron (Anika) Morgan; three step-siblings, Kayla, Taylor, and Jamie Morris; as well as loving uncles and aunts, Torell (Shantae) Robinson, Sharita Prioleau, Karl Ludwig, Kendall (Kelli) Robinson, Octavia Robinson and Garrick Dixon, Neci Perry, Renee Brown, Diane (Moses) Bowman, DeAngelis Morgan, Dez Thomas, James Shuler, and Ryan Thomas; great aunts and uncles, Mary Perry and Jerry Dunham, Clinton Perry; great and uncles and aunts, Clarence (Kimberly) Frazier of Alexandria, VA, Betty Felder, Clyde Frazier Jr., Rebecca Fripp, Rosa Brooks, Bernard (Gloria) Frazier, Baron Frazier and Rochelle (Franklin) Hook; grandparents, Carrie Perry and Dennis Lewis, Blanche (Jacob) Thomas, Diane Morgan and Carrie Mae Morris, and a host of cousins, other loving relatives and many friends, all of whom are sadden by his untimely departure and will dearly miss his presence here on earth.
