Arthur Head, Jr. Obituary

Arthur Head Jr also affectionately known to his family as "June, Pop, and Poppa Head" was born October 6, 1942 to the late Arthur Head Sr and Pearl Lewis. He entered into eternal rest on Friday April16,2021 in Columbia SC.

He attended and graduated from ULMAN high school in Birmingham Alabama. After graduation, Arthur enlisted into the United States Airforce. After serving his term in the United States Airforce, he furthered his education at Monroe Business College in Bronx, New York.

In Bronx, New York is where all the magic began, he met and married the love of his life, Sarah F. Head. Together, they have three children.

Arthur worked for the United States Postal service for many years before retiring as a Workmen's Compensation Specialist at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

Arthur enjoyed watching all sporting games on tv, enjoying a good meal with family and friends, and his faith. He was a dedicated member of Baptist Temple Church in Newburgh, New York. He enjoyed singing on the choir, and served on the Board of Trustees.

Arthur was also a dedicated member of the following: Past District Master "State of New York”, Kings Temple "State of New York", Shriners "State of New York", 32 o Consistory "State of New York" and 33 o Master Mason Illustrious Eastern Star "State of New York".

Arthur is preceded in death by his; Father, Mother, two brothers, and sister.

Arthur leaves to cherish his memory: his wife: Sarah F. Head, son: Arthur Head III, daughters: Towana Head, Beverly Frazier Moss. Goddaughter: Lisa Liverman, Granddaughters: Yazmin Head, Nina Spellman; grandson: Brandon Moss. Also leaving fond memories to cherish are his very best friends, James(Charlene) Liverman, Peekskill, NY Childhood friends: Eugene Sharp, Birmingham, Alabama Tyrone Freeman, Las Vegas, Nevada, Nephews: Cliffton (Tamara) Osborne, Birmingham, Alabama, Chris (Merika) Osborne Birmingham, Alabama Cousins: John Edward Sr (Cynthia) Lewis, New York, Michael, Regina, Elbert, Walton, Birmingham, Alabama, Brother-in-law: Edward Frazier, Columbia, SC Sister-in-laws: Alexis Cowan, Saratoga Springs, New York Mary Briggs, Columbia, SC.
