Armandre Tariq Prince was born May 6, 2001, in Greenwood, South Carolina, the beloved son of Nakishia S. Prince and the late Lawson “BaBro” Hawkins III. He departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2025, at University of Florida Health Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
“Ty,” as family and friends affectionately called him, attended the public schools of Greenwood County, graduating from Greenwood High School in 2019, where he was a member of the track team. He was currently employed as a Warehouse Technician in Jacksonville, FL.
At an early age, Ty joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in McCormick, SC, under the leadership of his pastor Rev. Michael A. Butler. While at New Hope he attended Sunday school was a member of the Junior Choir and the Media and Ushers Ministries.
He was a devoted and loving son, grandson, brother, cousin, and friend. Though he was taken away from us too soon, he has left us loving and fond memories that will live in our hearts forever.

Fond memories will linger in the hearts of his special cousin, Keiaudra Baylor of Greenwood, SC; special friend, Jaelynn Moore of Jacksonville, FL; special aunt, Lachristie Robertson of Greenwood, SC; aunts, Dr. Easter Brown of Jacksonville, FL; Ellen Martin (Karras) Cohen of Greer, SC, and Reverend Virginia Ware of Fayetteville, NC; uncles, Teriell Cunningham of Greenwood, SC, Luther Brantley of Helsinki, Finland, Bruce Martin of Cape May, NJ, and Phil (Patricia) Martin of Jacksonville, FL; a host of great uncles and aunts; cousins, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him and are sadden by his untimely departure.
