Archie James Hamilton was born October 5, 1946, in Alvin, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of the late Paul and Earline Hamilton. He departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Archie was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County School System and graduated from Russellville High School. He continued his education and obtained a B.A. Degree in Business Management from Benedict College. Archie also served his county in the United States Army Reserves for 28 years.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Ginetta Vice Hamilton before he went home to be with the Lord.
A devoted Christian, Archie gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church. Later, he joined Bishops’ Memorial A.M.E. Church where he served as a Trustee. During his tenure at Bishops’ Memorial A.M.E., he also served in many other ministries and capacities.
Archie loved helping people, which led him to start A & H Home Repair Service. He was loving, kind, and giving. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Hamilton was also preceded in death by his brother, Winford Vice.
