Archie Kenneth Fulcher Obituary

Archie Kenneth Fulcher, was born February 29, 1948, (joyfully celebrating his birthday each year on March 1st) was the beloved son of the late James and Annie Ollison Fulcher. A devoted Christian who accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 8, 2025. A faithful member of the Baptist faith, he lived a life rooted in service, love, and commitment.

Archie was born in Oriental, North Carolina, where he graduated from Pamlico Central High School. Shortly after, he answered the call to duty and served his country in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge for his faithful service.

 A passion for learning and service, he went on to attend the Connecticut School of Electronics, earning a degree in Electronic Technology. He began working for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where he remained a devoted employee for 38 years. Known for his sharp technical skills and unwavering work ethics, he was respected by colleagues and loved by all who worked alongside him.

He was a man proud of his heritage and actively participated in Black History Month programs, contributions to the celebration and remembrance of African American culture and contributions. He found joy in celebrating and educating others about African American heritage through his active participation in Black History Month events. Whether he was sharing stories from his service, fixing electronics, or giving his wisdom, Archie was admired for his patience, kindness, and steady presence.

Above all, Archie was a family man. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a doting grand and great grandfather. Known for his gentle spirit, integrity, and deep love for family, Archie was a steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.

Though his physical presence is gone, Archie’s spirit, strength, and love will remain with us always.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Marcie Lynnette Fulcher; sister, Linda Fulcher Hunter; and brother James (Burley) Fulcher.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 28 years, Audrey L. Martin Fulcher of the home; sons, Archie (Keyona) Fulcher II of Durham NC, and Kennis Fulcher of Irmo SC; and joined to our blended family, Crystal (Curtis) Martin Watlington of Columbia SC; granddaughter, Myriah Lashe’ (Kelton) Moore of Manvel, TX; grandchildren, Aaron and Aamir Fulcher of Durham, NC;  great-grandchildren, Mason and Marcie Moore of Manvel, TX; twelve grandchildren joined to our blended family, Komarie, Dashawn, Niauna, Haiden, Christopher, Josiah, Layla, Raina, Lance, Neela, Keniya, Tashauna; and three great-grandchildren,  Ja’Nyah, Jeveah, and Aiko; sisters, Bonnie (Odell) Whitney of Raleigh, NC, and Barbara Spivey of Georgetown, SC; brother-in-law, Clarence Hunter of Charlotte NC; uncles, Herbert (Norma) Ollison and Alphonso Ollison; in-laws, Marilyn (Eric) Pollock, Leon (Senita) Martin, Annette (Glenn) Bullock, Nadine (Martin) Morris, Renada (Jason) Hall, Tasha (Ronnie) Brown, Charlene Martin, and Willie Martin Jr.; mother-in-law, Annie Martin of Irmo, SC;  God daughter, Kayanna Hall. He is remembered with love by his friends, Edwin, Larry, Harvey, Thomas, and Plato, who loved him like a brother, as well as a host of other loving relatives, friends, and extended family. His legacy of love, service, and excellence lives on in all who were blessed to know him.
