Antonio Lamont Burley was born September 7, 1970, the beloved son of the late John Edward Burley, Sr. and Rosa Lee Lindsey Burley. He departed this earthly life for eternal life on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Affectionately called “Tony” by family and friends, Antonio was educated in the Public Schools of Richland County. Tony was a man who loved to work with his hands. He had a passion for pouring concrete and working on cars. He was employed with Republic Contracting LLC.
Tony had the biggest heart, and he loved his family and friends dearly, especially his children and grandchildren. If you were to ask anyone how they felt about Tony, they would respond that he was the life of the party, he had a heart for helping others and that he would light up a room with his handshake and his beautiful smile, while talking trash at the same time. We will remember that before he left a room he would always respond by saying “I Love You Family”.
In addition to his parents, Tony was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Burley Sr. and James Lindsey.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Tony are his loving daughters, Skiesha Ashley, Shanessa Shuler, both of Columbia, SC, and Antoinette Stephens of Atlanta, GA; sons, William Conway, Tony (Tangie) Watkins, Jacquan Kennedy and Antonio L. Burley Jr., all of Columbia, SC, and Aaron (Candrea) Jones of North Carolina; grandchildren, A’niya Wise, Knowledge Bethea, Ehsan Stephens Michel, Carter Watkins, Chloe Harris, Julian Jones, Callie Jones, Messiah Jones, Reginald Harvin, Zara Harvin, Maya Harvins, and Kenneth Bates; sisters, Aferica Burley, and LeAngela Blanding; brothers, John Burley, Jr., James Lindsey, Shamari Jones, and Jakari Jones; his aunt, Katherine Dickey of New Jersey; uncles, James Johnson of Elloree, SC, David Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Lonnie Johnson, all of Columbia, SC; a host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
