It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Brett Hamm on August 31, 2023. Brett, born on August 1, 1960, was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend who touched the lives of many with his warm heart and cheerful spirit.
Brett was lovingly raised by the late George B. Hamm Sr. and Maggie L. Hamm, and his memory will be cherished by his devoted mother, Mary Frances Hamm Livingston. He is survived by his beloved son, Anthony Jones; one daughter, Debretia Jones; and his dear sister, Wanda Regina Hamm, both of Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to his immediate family, Brett leaves behind four brothers: Michael Livingston, Thomas Livingston Jr., Tyrone Livingston, and Stanley Hamm, all from West Columbia, South Carolina. His Uncle George Hamm Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina, also mourns his passing. Brett had the privilege of sharing special memories with his five aunts, Jettie Mae Johnson, Sandy Hamm, Viola Scipio, Mabel Hamm, and Margaret Colter, all of whom loved him dearly.
Brett Hamm was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in spending time with loved ones. He cherished the company of his dear friends, often engaging in activities such as fishing, where he created lasting memories. Brett was also known for his culinary talents and loved cooking for family gatherings. His passion for football was unwavering, and he enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams while surrounded by friends and family.
Brett Hamm's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the memories of his love, laughter, and warmth will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and fond memories he created with his family and friends.
