Anthony Darrell Stewart very affectionately known as Big Amp was born on July 17, 1972 as the oldest to both Viola Vereen and the late Leon Adams, Jr. He was called home Saturday, January, 4, 2020.
Anthony was employed by Charles Yon Body Shop at an early age. He left to start a successful auto body shop of his own before starting a career as a firefighter. Anthony joined the City of Columbia Fire Department where he served until he retired.
Anthony was a very loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He loved traveling, drag racing cars, Harley Davidsons, family and friends, and giving back to the community. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends, Tory Rhone, Darren Spann, Jahone Samuels, and Gripp.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Leon Adams, Jr.; sister, Andrea K. Montgomery; two grandmothers, Lillie H. Stewart and Ruthfine D. Adams; aunt, Mary Ruth Stewart; grandfather, Adam Stewart; and cousin, Gary Harris.
Anthony Big Amp Stewart is survived by his wife, Teresa Garrett-Stewart; his mother, Viola Vereen; his stepfather, Covell Vereen; his step mother, Barbara Adams; two brothers, Andre Adams and Christopher Stewart; son, Anthony Stewart, Jr.; daughter, Tiara Stewart; two step sons, Malcom Johnson and Marcus Johnson; three sisters, Rosalind P. Eady, Samatha Weathers, and Sheryl ; Three grandchildren, Riley Stewart, Karsynn Nicole, and Londyn Greene; his mother-in-law, Maragret Garrett; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends who share in the memories of Anthony.
