Angela O'merryl Caldwell-Russell

Angela Caldwell-Russell was born in Richland County on July 5, 1959, the beloved daughter, and the third oldest of six children born to the late MSG (Ret) Willie James Caldwell and  Carrie Sims-Caldwell.   After a brief fight of illness, the Lord, with open arms said, “Well fought, it’s time to come home”, and He escorted Angela away from this life on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Angie” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, attended Eau Claire High School in Richland County. Throughout her life, she loved to do things HER WAY! Angela was known for her friendliness, easy-going personality and smiling face. She was also known for her willingness to pull up a chair at any table for a good laugh.

She was baptized and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Columbia, SC.

Though she is no longer physically with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all who loved and knew her.

In addition to her parents, Angela was also preceded in death by; two brothers, Stephen Caldwell, and Sidney Alexander; and one sister, Kimmerly Caldwell.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four loving children, Tamika Caldwell, Essence Russell, Darrius Russell, all of Columbia, SC; and Euphemia (MSG (Ret) Curtis, Sr.) Colbert of Clarksville, TN; two loving  sisters,  Debheror (Dean) Walker of Sumter, SC; and Pamela Caldwell-Luguay of Columbia, SC; two special sisters/cousins, Katrina Shealy and Shilette Shealy; ten adoring grandchildren, Joshlynn Edmond, Amika Jessica Edmond, Jillian Edmond, McKenyzi Dewalt-Edmunds, Darrien Melton, My’Asia Davis, Jada Edmond, Curtis Colbert, Jr., Emani Davis and Aden Russell; one uncle, 1SG (Ret) Authur Caldwell; two caring aunts, Dorothy Hughley of Brooklyn, NY; and Shirley Lewis-Gilchrist of Columbia, SC; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her.
