Angela Darlene Goodwin Brooks

Angela D. Goodwin Brooks was born July 21, 1966, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of Sander Goodwin, Jr. and Louise Moore Goodwin. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Angela was educated in the public schools of Richland County graduating from Eau Claire High School in the Class of 1984, completing her education with her license in cosmetology.

In 1999, Angela married, and to that union a son, Evan, was born in 2000. Angela was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. There was always a loving huge smile on her face and a laugh that would light up the whole room. In her last days here on earth, she enjoyed taking care of others.

Though she is no longer physically with us, she has left a legacy of love to all those whose lives she so lovingly touched.

Those who will forever love and cherish her memory are her loving son, Evan A. Brooks; her loving parents, Sanders Goodwin Jr., and Lousie M. Goodwin; loving brother, Michael (Mary) Goodwin; and her loving sister, Sandra (Michael) Shelton; all of Columbia, SC; caring nephew, Carse Al Nickelson of Columbia, SC; adoring nieces, Brittany (Julius) Larry of Greensboro, NC; Dominique (Coty) Sensabaugh of Charlotte, NC; and Maya Goodwin of Columbia, SC;  great-nieces and nephews; her special friend, Ivan R. Geiger; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her.
