Angela "Toodie" Richardson Green, a woman whose heart was as vast as the waters she loved to fish, was born November 24, 1964, in Somerville, New Jersey, and raised in South Carolina, the beloved daughter of William Montgomery and the late Lillie (Eddie) Richardson Gayton. Angela embraced life with passion, humor, and an unwavering devotion to her loved ones. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center.
Angela's greatest joy was found in the presence of her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. She created countless memories with them, whether cheering them on, sharing stories, or simply basking in the love they brought into her life. Her family extended beyond the humankind, as she treasured her beloved dog, “Big Boy,” and her cat, “Tabatha.” They were more than pets; they were her constant companions, providing comfort and companionship in the way only they could.
Beyond her love for family, Angela found solace and excitement in fishing, bowling, and playing bingo. She lived for the thrill of casting a line, the triumph of a perfect strike, and the joy of marking off a winning card.
Angela leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Bernard Green; son, Thomas (Allison) Williams; father, William (Rosa) Montgomery; brothers, Gregory (Jenora) Richardson, Ronald (Jackie) Richardson, Henry Richardson, and Bill Montgomery; loving sisters, Wanda “Cookie” Richardson, Dana, Stephanie, Shawn, Hattie and Mika, all of whom will hold her spirit close; father-in-law, Charlie; along with her eight sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; as well as a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers, all of whom were touched by her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the lives of those who
knew her. The family asks that, in her memory, moments be spent
doing the things she loved, reeling in a fish, rolling a bowling ball,
or sharing a playful game of bingo in her honor.
