Alphonso L Murray Jr.

The sun rose on Alphonso L. Murray October 6, 1961 in Columbia, SC. He was born to Alphonso Sr. & Sarah Murray. Alphonso was educated in the public schools of Columbia and graduated high school from C.A. Johnson in 1979. While there he was a member of the band.

Alphonso had a strong personality. He was determined and assertive, yet embodied a great sense of compassion for others. He enjoyed watching TV, sports, and cooking. He was a loving and thoughtful son, brother and uncle. He was a member of Cleaves Memorial CME Church where he was baptized at an early age.

Loving memories will continue to be held by his faithful mother, Ms. Sarah Murray, sister, Yvonne Murray, niece, Gabrielle Hudson, nephew, Marcus Freeman, and a host of extended family member & friends.

We will miss Alphonso’s presence, deep caring, warmth, and unselfish giving that made his uniqueness he will forever live in our hearts and mind.
