Alexander Leroy Morris, Sr.

Alexander Leroy Morris, Sr. was born October 7, 1961, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved son of Carrie Morris Floyd and the late Leory Moye. He departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.

“Grey Eye,” as he was affectionately called by family and friends was educated in the public schools of Richland County where he attended Lower Richland High School. Upon graduating Alexander joined the United States Army. After serving our country honorably, he became a long-distance truck driver for more than ten years.

Alexander met and married the former Patricia Wesley in 1981, and their union of love was blessed with forty-four years of love and devotion to each other and the births of four children.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Antwan “BoBo” Morris.

Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories are his loving wife, Patricia W. Morris of the home; his children, Ashley Morris, Anthony Morris, Alexander Morris, Jr. and Alexandria Brown; sixteen (16) grandchildren; special great-grandson, Kaycen “Moe Moe) Gibson; his loving mother, Carrie Mae Floyd of New York; brother, Eric Moye of Eastover, SC; sisters, Sharen Reed of Eastover, SC, Tawana Thompson of Rockhill, SC, and Tasha Gibbs of Columbia, SC; a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
