Mr. Alexander Walker was born on September 15, 1953 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Ernestine Whittenburg and Bickie Bowman but was raised by Henry Whittenburg. On July 26, 2020, Alexander departed this earthly life at the age of 66.
Cool Daddy or Break was his nickname that was called by family and friends. He was a 1972 graduate of Eau Claire High School. He worked for years as a brick mason under his father’s establishment. He later retired from PRISM Health Richland Hospital.
Alexander was a caring dad, grandfather, nephew, uncle and friend. He was a very free spirited man and a hustler by any means necessary. He lived a full and happy life the best way he knew how.
Alexander Walker was the type of man that in order to love him, you had to know and understand him whole heartedly.
Alexander was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Brenda Spry and brother Keith Whittenburg.
Alexander leaves to cherish his precious memories, a daughter, Woodrinika (Niki) Walker, a son, Zandron Lamont Walker; two grandsons, Wymark D.J. Barton, III and Darius Barnes; three granddaughters, Monica S. Walker, Serenity I. Barton and Indya T. Kershaw; two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Anthony Whittenburg; a brother-in-law, Keith Spry; three nephews, Troy Spry, Keith Anderson and Jeberyl Whittenburg; a niece, Joy Spry; four special aunts, Gwendolyn (Frank) Moon, Angela “Peaches” Bostick, Margaret Geter, and Jeanette McGill; two uncles, Dwayne Walker and Jerald (Teresa) Walker along with many other loving relatives and friends who are definitely going to miss Alexander.
