Alberta P. Holmon was born June 15, 1944, in Allendale, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Pearlie Williams Patterson and Anderson Bowman. She departed this sweet life on Wednesday March 25,  2026, in the comfort of her home in Columbia, South Carolina.

Alberta received her high school diploma at Booker T. Washington High School in Columbia, South Carolina. She began her career working as a housekeeper and enjoyed shopping, going to church, spending time with family, playing spades and hopscotch.

Mrs. Holmon loved the Lord and was a faithful member of  Sidney Park C. M. E. Church for over 30 years. During her tenure at Sidney Park she served on many committees including The Stewardess Board, Women’s Missionary Society,  the choir, and many others. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star where she served the community, including in the homeless community and those less fortunate within the community.

In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her late husband  of forty plus years, Alonzo Holmon; her sisters, Pollie Mae Patterson Warner and Cornelia Patterson; brother, Willie Stokes; nephew, Reginald D. Warner; great-nephew, Stephan Tyrone (Yolanda) Dawkins; nieces, Dessie Dawkins and Geneva (Bernard) Wilson; and her brother-in-law, Arthur Mack Warner Sr.
