Yuen Hong Fung

Mr. Yuen Hong Fung (冯元康) was born, April 29, 1952, in the Colony of Hong Kong. He was the beloved son of (Dad) Kwong Fung(冯广)and (Mom) Chun-Lan NG(吴振兰). He was called to glory to be with his heavenly parents on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, peacefully in his sleep, at home, in Columbia, SC.

“Hong”, as he was affectionately known to friends and family members, was educated in the Colony of Hong Kong before coming to the United States of America at the young age of 18. He settled in, Columbia, South Carolina, where he started as a cook in Chinese restaurants. He later opened his own business, Hong Trading, Inc, where he delivered food supplies to various Chinese restaurants in South Carolina. He was hardworking, dedicated and loyal to the customers he served. He was proud of what he accomplished and loved what he did.

He was a devoted husband and father to two beautiful girls who gave him life. His drive for success was fueled by his family. He never wanted to see them struggle like he did when he was younger and he fulfilled that American dream. He was a nurturing grandfather to his grandkids and an unfailing brother to his siblings. His unforgiving and everlasting love will never be duplicated.

His love, affectionate smile, caring heart and diligence will be missed. His spirit will forever live on with those who loved him. Always looked out for those he loved the most. Anything his family wanted he did just that to see them happy. Well loved by many that he encountered with daily. He was always punctual with the many things he did daily.

He leaves to cherish in loving memories: his wife, Chuen Fung; two daughters, Lily Fung (Nate) and Cathy Crumpton (Darius) of Columbia, SC; three siblings; youngest brother, Yuen Tsang Fung-冯源增- (Yian Jun Fung-陈贤君), of Columbia, South Carolina; oldest sister, Yuk Yee Fung-冯玉意(吴守维), of Brazil; youngest sister, Yuk Kim Fung- 冯玉琴 (Chi Ming Ma- 马志明), of Hong Kong; four grandchildren; oldest Tiga Tucker, Beautiful Benson, Jayden Fung, Miya Crumpton and an unborn child. A host of niece, nephews and many other loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
