Tyrell Roarickus Dickey, affectionately known as “Ghoc”, was born July 9, 1982 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of Maxine (Anthony) Rice and the late Lee Ernest Dickey. He departed this life on Monday, July 24, 2017.

He was educated in the public schools in Columbia and worked various jobs throughout his life.

Tyrell was a very loving and caring person, always placing others before himself. He had a caring heart, protective personality and was always willing to go the extra mile for those who needed him. Tryell was a loving brother, son and friend. Although he will be greatly missed, we take comfort in knowing that he is resting safely in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

Tyrell leaves to cherish his precious memories: three loving daughters: Precious, Chyna and Angel Dickey; a beloved son, Kadent Higgins; his devoted parents, Anthony and Maxine Rice; his inseparable brother, Donnel (Ciria) Dickey; a dedicated grandmother, Mary Abraham; and a special niece, Janiya Dickey, all of Columbia, South Carolina. He also leaves his aunties: Roshell Jackson and Cynthia Knotts, both of Columbia, South Carolina, and Iris Jean Dickey of Manning, South Carolina; uncles: Carlos (Geneva) Abraham and Abraham Roberts, both of Columbia, South Carolina, Gary (Chante) Abraham of Aiken, South Carolina, Lee and Christopher Dickey of Manning, South Carolina and Timothy Dickey of Greenville, South Carolina; his great aunt, Christina Wilson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his godmother, Teresa Richardson of Columbia, South Carolina; special godparents, Robert and Shemonia Lee, also of Columbia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relative and dear friends.
