Ms. Tonette Ashford was the daughter of Levell Ashford and Eva Mae Owens Ashford.
She was born February 7, 1965 in Fairfield County, and was called home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2018.
Ms. Tonette Ashford was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Tonette accepted the Lord as her Savior at a very young age. She was a member of Spiritual Praise Tabernacle Ministries in Blythewood, South Carolina.
She was educated in the Richland County school systems. Tonette was a proud graduate of Eau Claire High School, Class of 1983. She continued her education at Rutledge College.
She was employed for 13 years as a medical technician. She was also employed as a surgical technician at Palmetto Health Baptist for 12 years, until her health declined.
“Miss Nett”, as she was affectionately known, had a smile that could light up a room and a joyful, humble spirit that would make anyone sit up and notice.
Tonette Ashford leaves to cherish her memories a son Zuri Brimfield; two daughters, Tretonia Brimfield and Imani (Terrance) McNair; six grandchildren: Haven, Avery, Christian, Grace, Margaret, and Alvin; her parents, Levell and Eva Ashford; one goddaughter Alyssa Boyd; two brothers, Tony (Cynthia) of Bamberg, South Carolina and Terrance Ashford: four sisters: Sandra (Dewayne) Diggs of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Sharon Ashford, Melissa (Garrick) Pridgeon of Ridgeway, South Carolina, and Pamela (Bernard Jr.) Boyd; a special niece thought of as a sister, Shana Ashford; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
