“Bishop”, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, enjoyed walking, socializing with her community, reading her Bible and making others smile. Her love for Jesus Christ was shared with everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, Sylvia was also predeceased by her sisters, Edna Powell and Julia Flegler; her brother, Charles L. Brown; a nephew, Theodore Powell; and a niece, Rosie Powell.

She also leaves to mourn her passing: a niece, Lorraine Harrison; nephews: Anthony and Gregory Harrison, Tony and Reggie Cooper, and Kevin and Kurt Flegler; and a host of grandnieces and nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
