Mrs. Shirley Ann Jenkins was born July 13, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jacob and Rosetta Buggs. She departed this life on Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Shirley received her formal education from C.A. Johnson High School and later earned her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification. She was employed at Magnolia Manor for more than twenty years, until her retirement in 2010.

She was baptized and joined Zion Canaan Baptist Church at an early age. She served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Zeria Jenkins, Jr.; a sister, Willie Mae Brown; and a brother, Darryl Buggs.

Mrs. Jenkins leaves to mourn her passing, three children: Lisa Buggs, Delora (James) Buggs-Kinlaw, both of Columbia, South Carolina, and Senior Chief Reginald (Brenda) Buggs of Suffolk, Virginia; one stepdaughter, Shirley Jenkins Stephens, also of Columbia, and one stepson, William Hemlsey of Baltimore, Maryland; and seven grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Deloris (Franklin) O’Neil of Columbia, South Carolina; three brothers: Thomas and Curtis (Pecolia) Ellison of Columbia, South Carolina, and Roderick (Janice) Buggs of Lynhaven, Florida; one sister-in-law, Connie Knight-Buggs; and many other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
