Samuel Anderson Obituary

Mr. Samuel R. Anderson was born June 10, 1951 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of the late George Anderson Sr. and Lillie Mae Gilmore Anderson. On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, our beloved Samuel was called home to be with the Lord.

“Shampoo” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Richland County. He was a self-employed, skilled and Master Brick Mason.

“Shampoo” brought much love, laughter, and joy to his family and friends. He touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with. He had a smooth style, and dance moves that were out of sight. He was a devoted father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents George Anderson Sr. and Lillie Mae Gilmore Anderson; two sisters: Margaret Anderson, and Sallie Bell Kelly; three brothers: Joseph Shealy, George Anderson Jr., and Perry Anderson.

Mr. Samuel Anderson leaves to cherish his fond memories, his three beautiful daughters: Wilhelmina (Kimmy) Goodwin of the home, Sherie R. Ralston of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Tammy Myers of Columbia, South Carolina; three sisters: Josephine Bynum, Lillie Mae Reed, and Evangelist Pauline (Rev. Robert) Glenn; four brothers: Robert (Camilla) Anderson, Paul Anderson, Charles (Linda) Anderson, and Jerry Anderson, all of Columbia, SC; two sister-in-laws: Ms. Maggie Anderson, and Ms. Robenia Anderson, both of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
