Ms. Ruthfine D. Adams, very affectionately known as “Boss Lady”, “Boss”, and “Grandma Boss”, was born February 25, 1937 to the late Adam and Williene Odom Wearing. She departed this life on November 12, 2017.

Ruthfine was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was educated in the Richland County public school system. During that time, Ruthfine also worked for Children Limited Care Center.

Ms. Adams was an active member of Community CME Church for more than 30 years. She served on the Usher Board and on the Board of Trustees. She was a devoted member of the Women of Color, where she was highly respected by those around her. She was known to be independent, outspoken, and a woman who embodied wisdom. She shared that wisdom with many people in her life.

In addition to her parents, Ruthfine was predeceased by two sons, Leon Adams, Jr. and Keith Adams.
