Russell S. Kennedy

Mr. Russell S. Kennedy was born on July 22, 1949 to the late Edward S. Kennedy and Leslie Lamb Kennedy. He departed this like on January 6, 2019 peacefully in his sleep.

Russell graduated from C.A. Johnson High School in 1967. He went on to attend South Carolina State with a major in Music. While in college, he joined a band named The Exotics. After leaving college, he started his own band. He was a long-distance truck driver until his health failed in 2003.

Mr. Kennedy is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Peggy Kennedy; one daughter, Felicia Renee (Boris) Roberts of Greenville, SC; one brother, Darryl (April) Chavis of Dallas, TX; one sister, Dessie (Darnell) Crosswell of Columbia, SC; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members who will miss him dearly.
