Rose Ann Mivens Jones was born August 25, 1945, to the late B.C. Mivens and Ella Mae Foster Mivens. She departed this life on August 12, 2018.
She was a faithful work leader at the University of South Carolina as a Housekeeper. On August 6, 1975, she was united in holy matrimony to Lee Mervin Jones. She was a faithful and dedicated mother and wife.
She enjoyed going on family trips, singing, and serving Jesus Christ.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings: Early Dean Foster, Emma Specks, Chris Mivens, Patricia Sullivan, Dale Mivens, Brenda Mivens, John Millhouse, Wallace Mivens, and Willie Mivens.
Rose Ann Mivens Jones leaves to cherish her precious memories: her sons: Dan (Iris) Mivens Sr., and Jack Stephonson both of Columbia; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, siblings: Clyde Mivens, Joyce Mivens, and Bernice Mivens; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
