Rosalyn Bland Obituary

Mrs. Roslyn Larrett Glymph Bland entered into heavenʼs gateway on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the age of 63. Roslyn affectionately known as “Mutt” was born September 3, 1955, in Columbia SC to the late John and Annie Ruth Savage Glymph. 

Roslyn attended Carver Elementary, W.A. Perry Middle School and was a graduate of C.A.Johnson High School. Roslyn spent many years in Environmental Services and Hospitality. She loved spending time with her family, her group the Sugar Shack and putting a smile on peopleʼs faces through jokes, dancing, her upbeat personality, and undying love.

Roslyn is preceded in death by her significant other and life partner Walter Suber and nephews Kedrick Glymph and Jaqwon Turner.

Those left to cherish her fond and precious memories are: her husband, Leonard Bland; three children, Terry Garrett (Tiki), Lori Walker (Kedrick), and Anntroya Glymph; nine grandchildren Markiz Garrett, Whitney Scott, Shantel Walker, Jazzmin Walker, Kedrick Walker II, Christopher Gibson, Jalen Garrett, Johnathan Eutsey and Janasia Eutsey and one great-grandchild Master Markiz Garrett Jr.; six siblings, Patricia Williams( Gene), Thavolia Glymph, John Glymph, James Glymph (Michele), Vivian McFadden (Ike), and Cheryl Boyd (Titus); 16 nieces and nephews, Marvin, Sherry, Sebastian, Morgan, Marlo, Marlon, Kedranna, Julian-Nigel, Jaron-Nevil, Troy, Maurice, Titus Jr., Rose, Antoinette, Crystal and Marquis; twenty-four great nieces and nephews along with a host of relatives and friends that will truly miss her and remember her smile.
