Robert T. Williams was born on October 22, 1943 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Robert and Victoria Williams. He transitioned to eternal life with His Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Prisma Health Hospital.

Robert received his education in the public schools of Richland County. Mr. Williams later moved to Chicago and became a police officer. Robert moved to Hartford, Connecticut. After retiring from the City of Hartford, he opened Williams Construction Company. Later, Robert moved to Columbia, SC and started a business, R&C, with his brother Charles. Robert was also a member of St. Peter’s Lodge #20, P.H.A.

He was united in marriage to the late Martha Williams.

Mr. Williams was a member of Reid Chapel A.M.E. Church where he served on the Music Ministry.

Mr. Williams was a solider of the Lord. During his time at White Oak Manor he believed the Lord called him to be a Minister.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha Williams; a daughter, Carolyn Everett; a brother, Herbert Judge; and four sisters, Mary Jefferson, Annie Jane Williams, Lucinda Woodson, and Sadie Garner.

Mr. Williams leaves to cherish his fond and precious memories, his daughters, Roberta Williams of Hartford, CT, and Robin Everett of Manchester, CT; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Charles Williams of Columbia, SC; five sisters, Bernice Lee Singleton of Pineville, SC, Lillie A. Cotton of Middletown, CT, Ellen Anderson, Amanda Young, and Kathleen Williams of Columbia, SC; one aunt, Mary Grantham of Moncks Corner, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
