Rhudine Gladden was born October 1, 1941 to the late Irene T. Workman and Johnny Gladden. Rhudine departed her earthly life August 6, 2018 in Columbia, SC.
She was brought up in a spiritual home and devoted her life to Christ. She was a loyal and faithful member of Trinty House of Help and Mercy.
Rhudine dedicated her life to her six children: Keith (Lucreatia) Gladden, Derais Thorpe, Stacey Gladden, Benson Gladden, Dexter (LaTasha) Gladden, and Angel Gaston. She also raised foster children for over 50 years. She enjoyed singing with Gospel music being her passion. She was an original member of Reverend George R. Johnson and the Johnsonairs alone with other gospel groups.
Rhudine is preceded in death by her grandmother, Carrie Moses, her parents, her brother, Andrew (Bubba) Hallman, and her sister, Hughlene Workman.
Rhudine leaves to cherish her memories: her children, grandchildren: DaQuan Gladden, Dexter Gladden, Darius Gladden, Jusme Linguard, October Linguard, Naudia Gladden, Devante Gladden, Benson Gladden Jr., Elmina Ficklin, Destinee Gladden, Christopher Buckner, Christopher Broome; great-grandchildren, three sisters, Glendora Jones, Jackie (Harvey) Banks, Carol Ann (David) Chun, her brother, Hugh Workman, and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
