Reverend Charlie Jackson, Sr. was born November 24, 1925 in Baxley, Georgia. He was the beloved son of the late Will and Carrie Jackson and husband of the late Frances L. Jackson. He worked for and retired from Guignard Brick works and later worked for Riverbank Zoo in Columbia, SC. Reverend Jackson passed away on November 4, 2017.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his children: Lovenia Outen, Sarah Harris Boykin, Nathaniel Boykin, Richard Boykin, Ernest Boykin, and Floyd Boykin.

Left to cherish precious memories are his brother, Thomas Jackson of Macon, Georgia; his daughters: Ernestine Rhodes and Mary Jackson of Columbia, South Carolina, and Arlie (Robert) Martin of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; his sons: Charlie (Ivy) Jackson, Jr., Jerry (Barbara) Jackson, Bobby Lee Boykin, Henry Boykin, Clarence (Alice) Boykin,  of Columbia, South Carolina. He also leaves 50 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, all of Columbia, South Carolina; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and dear  friends who loved him deeply.
