Ramon Falu Obituary

Ramon Anthony Falu Jr. affectionately known Tony was born in NYC on February 25, 1968 to parents Ramon Antonio Falu and Betty Louise Falu. He was called peacefully in his sleep on April 6, 2018.

As a youngster Tony was always exuberant. He loved riding dirt bikes, playing football, and hanging out with friends. Tony was educated in the NYC school system. Later he received a certificate in welding as well as attending the College of New Rochelle for business.

Tony was a dynamic young man and although he endured personal struggles, he was resilient and persistent to overcome. Tony’s desire to overcome led him to live in the south of France as well as traveling to London. A little know fact is that Tony was a talented writer and poet. In his spare time, he loved reading, watching basketball and cooking (Tony thought he was a chef). His spaghetti with ranch sauce was one of his “specialties”.

One of his joys was joining New Bethel Church and singing on the men’s choir.

He also played an important role in helping to raise his many adoring nieces and nephews. Tony loved spending time with family and was always ready to get the party going. As he was our family MC Toni Tone on the microphone.

Tony never met a stranger and will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Tony was preceded in death by his father Ramon Antonio Falu.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted mother: Betty L. Falu of Columbia, SC; one brother: Roger B. (Marvi) Cordes; sisters: Pamela (James) Green, Wanda Pinckney, Monique Falu, Nicole (Adrian) Mariner, Letia Falu, and Micaela Falu; nieces and nephews: Letia, Candace, Calvin, Tiavon, Briana, Alliyah, Bria, Sammy, Troy, Christian, Jayda, Charnelle, Nyla, and Sarai; a long life brother and friend: Delvon Frazier; family friend: Papa Weeks; adopted big brother: Pastor Nick Chambers; dear friend: Abraham Leaphart; and a host of aunts, uncles, grand nieces and nephew, cousins, and friends.
