Paul Grant Obituary
Mr. Paul Grant, Jr. entered eternal rest on November 5, 2019 in Columbia SC. He was born in the Zion Community of Marion County, SC on September 17, 1931, a son of the late Mr. Paul and Mrs. Blanche Grant. During his youth, he attended public school in Marion County where he graduated from high school.
Paul Joined Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church (Zion, SC) at an early age and became a convert to Christianity during that time. Subsequently, he enrolled in and graduated from Allen University (Columbia, SC) where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He served for two years in the United States Army after which he launched a long, distinguished teaching career in the South Carolina public schools.
Paul was united in matrimony for a number of years with the late Mrs. Iris W. Grant who preceded him in death. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grant, Sr. and one of his two brothers (Mr. Aubrey P. Grant) also preceded him in death. The survivor of Paul’s immediate family, Mr. William C. Grant (Harriett) resides in North Carolina.
