Maurice Garrison Obituary
Mr. Maurice W. Garrison, Sr., 82, was born April 13, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born to the late Edward and Elizabeth Garrison-Lundy. He entered into his eternal resting place on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Columbia, South Carolina.
Maurice, “Puddney” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, attended the public schools of the city of Philadelphia. He was employed at Sears and Roebuck and retired after twenty-five years of service.
He was a member of the Trustee Board at Sweet Home Baptist Church and later attended Apostolic Doctrine Evangelistic Church of Hopkins, South Carolina. Maurice was a loving and devoted husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alena Mae Francis Garrison and only brother, Keith Lundy.
Those left to share the joys of his life are his loving and devoted daughter, Judy (Melvin) Scott; sons, Maurice Garrison, Jr. and David Jacobs, both of Columbia, SC; daughter, Teri Combs and son, Troy Combs, both of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren of the home, Carl Felder, Jr. and Stephanie Garrison-Gunter, thirty-nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
