Margaret Louise Douglas

Margaret Douglas was born in Asheboro, North Carolina to the late George & Minnie McNair. She departed this life, Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Parkridge Hospital in Columbia, SC.

Margaret resided in Passaic, New Jersey for a number of years where she was active at St. Paul Baptist Church. Margaret was well known and loved ball all who knew her. She moved to Columbia, SC in 1999 where she spent her time after retirement. She engaged in volunteer work for many different organizations and churches that earned her the key to the City of Columbia.

Margaret Douglas was predeceased by her husband Howard Douglas of over 50 years on April 29, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bob, Les, John, Green, and Brim; and sisters, Gertrude, Minnie, Katherine, and May.

Margaret leaves to cherish her loving memory her sister, Reen McNair; her only daughter, Janice (Johnie Sr.) Minick of Hopkins, SC; granddaughter, Lawana (Eddie, III) Minick-Sanders of Columbia, SC; grandson, Johnie Minick, Jr.; great-granddaughters, Tenaja Minick of Columbia, SC and Mitaya Minick of Hopkins, SC; great-grandson, Zahkey Sanders of Columbia, SC; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
