Joanaye Meshawn Moore was born July 22, 1982 in Charleston, South Carolina to Christina Washington and Joseph Moore. She departed this life on Sunday, August 5, 2018, in Atlanta, Georgia.
She graduated from Dutch Fork High School in May 2000. Her passion for hair began at the earlier stages of her life, when she received a “Maxie Doll” on Christmas of 1988. From that point on, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in Cosmetology. Joanaye attended Kenneth Shuler and Paul Mitchell and graduated with a cosmetologist license.
Joanaye was an inspiration to all who knew her with her wit and kindness. She made herself available to anyone that needed assistance no matter the person or job. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms. You can always remember her by her smile and big personality. One of her favorite quotes was “I get it from my mama” and she always spoke her mind (I guess it’s hereditary). J
Joanaye leaves a legacy of love to her mother, Christina Y. Wright and John Palmer (Irmo, SC), Sister; Gaberell M. Moore (Elkridge, MD), Aunts; Brenda W. Jones, Siria M. Lincoln (Kenny Lincoln), Melanie R. Washington; a host of God Children, family and friends.
