Jeannie T. Stone was born in Blythewood, SC. She was the beloved daughter of the late Helen Mickle Young and Leonard Young Sr. She departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Columbia, SC.
Teresa attended public schools of Richland County. She was a 1979 graduate of Spring Valley High School, and a 2002 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Limestone College with a Bachelors of Science.
She was a dedicated and faithful employee of South Carolina Electric and Gas for 35 years.
At an early age, Teresa accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was a faithful and active member of Round Top Baptist Church.
She was a very loving and caring person who enjoyed being around people and spending time with family and friends. Teresa was a priceless gift from God who cannot be replaced. Though she is physically no longer with us, her kind and loving spirit will live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents Helen and Leonard Young, Sr.; her sisters, Adele Y. Milligan and Vivian D. Young Glover.
Teresa leaves to cherish precious memories: a loving and devoted husband, David Stone, Jr. of the home; three devoted step-children, Cornelius (Mary Ann) Stone of St. Matthews, SC, Sonya Stone Rogers of Greenville, SC, and LaKenya Patterson of Jenkinsville, SC; two sisters, Ronella Frazier and Gwendolyn Y. Zeigler; two brothers, Leonard J. Young, Jr. and Stanley W. Young all of Blythewood, SC; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Stone; two sisters-in-law, Elaine (James) Brown and Glennette (Greg) Hendrix, and two brothers-in-law, Glen (Josie) Stone and Michael Stone; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and dear friends, all of whom miss her dearly.
