Ms. Janice Sue Cleveland was born September 30, 1955 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Alex and Louise Cleveland. Sister Cleveland was called to Heaven on August 3, 2017 to take her eternal rest.

Janice loved life, her family and her friends. She was a member of Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. She was educated in the public schools of Richland County, and was a 1974 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She went on to receive an associate degree from Midlands Technical College. Sister Cleveland had a huge personality and never met a stranger.

She was a hard-working, beloved employee of Johnson Food Service at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Sister Cleveland was predeceased by: her parents, Alex and Louise Cleveland; brothers: Alexander, William and Jackie Cleveland; and sisters, Helen P, Corbin and Wendy J. Cleveland.

Left to cherish precious memories and special moments are: her only son, Cory J. Cleveland; her two brothers, James (Earleas) Cleveland of Lexington, South Carolina and Albert (Beverly) Cleveland of Columbia, South Carolina; her three sisters: Deloris Henry of Ft. Rockaway, New York, Valeria Cleveland of Columbia, South Carolina and Doris (Woody III) Ford of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a brother-in-law, Jessie L. Corbin, also of Myrtle Beach; a special friend, Vincent Trapp; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, all of whom loved and will miss her dearly.
