James Jeffery

James Jeffery was born May 20, 1947 in Swansea, SC to the late Jake Jeffery and the late Jannie Howell. James gained his wings on Monday, June 17, 2019 at his home in West Columbia, SC. James received his G.E.D. in Columbia, SC.

James was employed at KarKare as a Mechanical Engineer for 35 years and later retired due to illness in 2005. James was a loving persona to everyone that knew him. James loved to crack jokes and keep everybody laughing. Not one time would you ever hear him say he wasn’t feeling well because he always kept a smile that brightens up the room.

James was preceded in death by his mother and father Jannie and Jake Jeffery; sister, Ethel Mae Jeffery; brothers, John Gomillon, Jacob Jeffery, and Jimmy Gomillon; and grandmother, Fannie Oliver; and aunt, Jessie Castleberry.

James was survived by his three children, Camillia Moor, Donovan Henry, and Daniel (Keith) Oree; seven siblings, Ivory Gleaton, Rachel (Johnny) Ponds, Ben (Mammie) Gomillon, Deloris (Edward) White, Lucille Thurmond, Asa Jeffery, and Rosa Lee Phillips; one sister-in-law, Nellie Gomillon; two special brothers, Charles Stewart and Charles (Ella Mae) Major; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends who all loved and cared for him in their own special ways.
