It is written in the Book of Life at our birth when we will depart our earthly life. Today we’ve come to honor the life and homegoing of our Father, Brother, Uncle, Son, Cousin, and Friend. Jamaine McFadden was born on December 9, 1971, to the late Charles Edward McFadden and Floretha Swygert in Columbia, SC. He departed this life on October 2, 2019, at Prisma Health Richland Memorial Hospital.
Jamaine was educated in Richland County School District One. Jamaine later encountered a relationship with Lesley Tucker and from this one Daughter, Marshay Tucker was born. Jamaine later met and began a relationship with Rochelle Jones and from this one son, Jamaine McFadden Jr. was born.
Jamaine was a hardworking man all his life and to provide for his children he often wore many hats. He was employed by Lizard’s Thicket Restaurant, Jaderloon Greenhouse Supply, and State of South Carolina.
Jamaine was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward McFadden, and maternal Grandmother, Lizzie Washington.
Those left to celebrate Jamaine’s life are his mother, Floretha Swygert; son, Jamaine McFadden Jr.; daughter, Mashay Tucker; sisters, Kimberly Singleton and Latonya Singleton; brothers, Charles Lamont McFadden, Charles Bell, Daniel Swygert, Daron Swygert, Al Vincent Swygert, Steven English, and Christopher McFadden; sister-in-law, DeJaris English, many loving nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and very close friends, all who will mourn his earthly death, but will forever rejoice that he is resting with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
