Jalen Qadir Islam

Jalen Qadir Islam was born on December 4, 2003, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of Carol Brantley and Qadir Islam.

Jalen was educated in the public schools of Richland County where he had an impact on a lot of his peers. Jalen loved to play basketball and hanging out with family and friends. He also liked music and fireworks was his favorite.

Jalen was the grandson of the late Mammie Lee Brantley and Eddie Carter.

Jalen leaves not to mourn his loss but to cherish his memories: his parents, Carol Brantley and Qadir Islam; loving grandmother, Leila Hansard; his two loving sisters, Malaya Boulware and Destiny Islam both of Columbia, South Carolina; his two brothers, Patrick Cofield and Exavier Islam both of Columbia, South Carolina; close first cousins, J’tori Brantley, Trevon Brantley, Shaterria Brantley, Londyn Forbes; and a host of aunts, uncles, and other family and friends.
