Glaston Febrick DuBose, Sr.

Mr. Glaston Febrick DuBose, Sr., 85, was born June 15, 1934 in Middleton, Georgia to the late Gip DuBose and Elizabeth DuBose Spearman.  He departed this life to be with the Lord on September 9, 2019.

Glaston was educated at Dan Watkins in Newberry, South Carolina.  He met and married his beautiful wife Orimena Mitchell in Saluda, South Carolina.  After the birth of their eldest son, James (Larry), they relocated to New Haven, Connecticut.  From this union five more children were born.  On October 24, 2019, Glaston and Orimena, whom he adored, would have celebrated sixty-six blessed years of holy matrimony.

Glaston was preceded in death by his parents, Gip DuBose and Elizabeth DuBose Spearman; son James Larry DuBose; brothers, Willie (Irene) Wilson, Edward DuBose, Lawrence (LC) DuBose, James (Lois) DuBose; sisters, Henrietta (Robert) Jacobs, Reatha Mae (Aaron) Farrow; son-in-law, Brian Givens, Sr.; great-granddaughter baby Justyce Maxon; brothers-in-law, Hezzie Young, James (Ida) Mitchell, Sandy (Henry Mae) Mitchell, Virgil (Ruth) Mitchell, Reynaldo McQuay; and sister-in-law, Annie Belle (Anne) Graham.

Mr. Glaston Febrick DuBose, Sr. leave to cherish his fond memories: his wife Orimena DuBose (Lexington, SC); children, Valerie (Jerome) Moore (Meriden, CT), Glaston (Tonya) DuBose, Jr. (Hamden, CT), Paulette (Keith) Gentry (Blythewood, SC), Orimena Givens (West Haven, CT), Sylvia Maxon (Lexington, SC); daughter-in-law, Emma Jean DuBose (New Haven, CT); sisters, Margaret Young (Northford, CT), Hue Ellen DuBose-McQuay (Tampa, FL); brother-in-law, Daniel (Shirley) Mitchell (Norristown, PA); thirty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
