Born September 5, 1924, Frazelle R. Jackson was the fifth of six children of the late John and Pearl Clark Robinson. Early in her life, she accepted the Lord as her Savior and joined Temple Zion Baptist Church. While attending church there, she served as a Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Jubilee Choir member, Sr. Musical Choir member and performed numerous clerical duties. At the time of her passing, Frazelle was a member of Ridgewood Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang on the Jubilee Choir.

She was educated in the Richland County public school system, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. Frazelle continued her education at Benedict College earning a degree in Education and later receiving her master’s degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. In addition, she was a cosmetologist.

Frazelle held teaching positions in Lee, Jasper, Fairfield and Richland counties. After 34 years of service in the profession, she retired from teaching after her tenure at Virginia Pack Elementary School. She was well loved by her students and well respected by her co-workers and administrators. She was also a member of several educational associations and a life member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

She is survived by her son, Darryl (Patricia) A. Jackson, Sr.; granddaughter, Adrienne, and grandson, Darryl, Jr.: two sisters, Arneatha P. Davis and Mildred R. Johnson; her sister-in-law, Ruby Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, James Jackson, Jr., and her three brothers and sisters-in-law: Andrew (Bessie) Robinson, Sr., Willie (Mary) Robinson, Sr. and Harold (Lillian) Robinson, Sr.
