Mother Frank Hazel Butler affectionally known as “Mickey”, was born on October 23, 1953 in Eastover, SC. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Rebecca Bolton. Mother Frank Hazel Butler was called home to the Lord on February 1, 2019.
Mickey was educated in the public schools of Richland County, SC and was employed as a private nurse for many years. Mickey dedicated herself to the service of the Lord at a very early age and was a faithful member of Greater Refuge Temple C.O.G.I.C. for over 30 years. Her services there exemplified her love for Christ, her family was the very first to join the Temple. Mother Butler served on numerous committees and held various positions in the church. Beloved by her church family, her work throughout her tenure was unapparelled. She held many offices of the church to include Evangelist, President of Missions, Mothers’ Board, Usher, Choir Member, and the Anniversary Committee. Mickey’s life exemplified what it meant to be a true Christian and woman of God.
She was the matriarch of a large community and believed in evangelizing and giving back to those that were in need. Mother Butler was known as a Prayer Warrior, and a confidant to many.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Frank & Rebecca Bolton and two sisters Kathy Porter and Brenda Witherspoon.
Mother Frank Hazel Butler leaves to celebrate and to cherish her precious memories: A loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Robert Lee Butler; three children Tiffany (Jordon) Davis, Robin Butler and Robert Lee Butler Jr. all of Columbia, SC; one Sister Kathleen (Lonnie) Jackson of Aiken, SC and one Brother Franklin Bolton of Columbia, SC. Furthermore, she leaves her brother in law Charlie Butler of Columbia, SC; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, God children, nieces, nephews, distant relatives and friends all of who love and will miss her dearly.
