Ernestine C. Sims

Mrs. Ernestine Sims was born on April 2, 1948 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Beulah I. Johnson. She departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at her home in Columbia, SC.

Ernestine attended the public schools of Richland County graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in the class of 1966.

Ernestine was baptized and a member of Rufuge Temple.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by one child, Dacus Sims.

Those left to cherish Ernestine warm and precious memory are her husband Joe Sims, Jr. of 54 years; children, Erskine Sims and Joset (Victor) Culbreath; one sister, Delores (Frank) Furgess of Columbia, SC; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, Ethel Hayes; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins all who honor her memories.
