Elizabeth Kinard was born August 13, 1956 to Hattie Mae Kinard and the late Wayman Kinard, Sr. in Arthurtown Community of Columbia, South Carolina.

She attended Atlas Road Elementary and Hand Middle Schools. She was a Blue Devil graduate of Dreher High School.

Liz loved to keep smiles on everyone’s faces. She could always be found in the kitchen cooking, relaxing while listening to her beloved gospel music, or watching CSI.

Starting in the early 1990’s, Liz worked for Richland School District One at Pendergrass Fairwold School as a custodian for many years. She was also a dedicated worker in the Hospital Services Department at Fort Jackson and in York Pennsylvania Hospital. She retired in 2007. She took care of many friends, family, and her children’s friends too.

Liz loved people and was always lending a helping hand. She loved her family! They meant the world to her, and they felt the same. She was known for her laughter and warm heart. She knew how to make a bad day better and will truly be missed. But her legacy will continue through the encouraging words she always gave. She was a one-of-a-kind woman, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who always trusted in the Lord.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her son, Warren Bryant Kinard; daughter, Erica Lorraine Kinard; seven grandchildren: Kaliah Anné Grant, Monterious Jawarren Kinard, Zion Alexander Kinard, Ziyah Alexandria Kinard, Jaylen Omari Odom, Gabriel De’Valya Kinard, and Caleb Gavin Kinard; sisters: Evelyn Kinard, Margaret Surgick, Bettyann Sanders and Lizzie Lomax; brothers: Wayman Jr., Curtis, and Antonio Kinard; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Dina Holmes, and brother, Wayman Kinard, Jr.
