Edna Beatrice Davis Thompson, affectionately known as 'Miss B', was born July 7, 1942 in Kershaw, South Carolina to the late Ezell, Sr and Sallie Bennett Davis.
She was educated in the public-school system of South Carolina where she later worked and retired after 28 years of dedicated service. After retirement she returned to work as a foster classroom Grandparent for 11 years at Arden Elementary.
Miss B was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for 30+ years. She served as a member of the Missionary Committee, Jubilee Choir and Teen Spirit Committee.
She was preceded in death by a loving husband of 25 years Mr. Henry Thompson, a brother Ezell Davis, Jr., and a sister Mildred Robinson.
She leaves to mourn a devoted daughter Teresa Davis, of the home; brother Roosevelt (Doris) Davis of Gaston, SC; a step daughter Alice (Howard) Housley of Covington, KY; four step-sons Tony (Sandy) Thompson and James (Tina) Thompson of Columbia, SC; Aaron Thompson of Hilton Head, SC; Henry Thompson, Jr. and daughter Tuesday (Hasan) West both of Philadelphia, PA; three grandchildren, Kenya Montano of Atlanta, GA.; Frankie (Melissa) Davis of Gastonia, NC.; Shanell (Devin) Caldwell of Columbia, SC; a special niece Annette Nelson; a dear friend of 60+ years Lizzie Mack; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
