Dorothy Prince Obituary

Dorothy Prince, known as “Dot,” was born June 3, 1947, to the late Margaret and Sam Young (parents) and Ernest Brown (father) of Columbia, South Carolina.

Ms. Prince attended Job Corps where she received her education. After graduation, she started working at RC McEntire and Columbia Farms. She later retired from RC McEntire.

Ms. Prince was a loving and caring person who opened her heart and home to anyone. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, drinking beer, and listening to her old school.

Ms. Prince was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Brown, two brothers, Walter and Roland Brown, aunt, Lavenia Robinson, sister, Georgia President, and two brothers in law, Johnnie Miller and Simon McLemore.

Those left to cherish the memories of Ms. Prince are three sisters, Lorraine (Johnnie) Miller, Juanita (Simon) McLemore, and Rutheen Scott, two brothers, Lewis Brown, and Eugene Brown Jr., a special friend, David Jacobs, three grandchildren, Catherine Jones, Alexis Page Young, and Sammy Young, seven great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
