Donna Marie (Gollson) Mitchell

Mrs. Donna Marie Gollson Mitchell was born August 23, 1964, in Beaufort, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Henry Gollson and Annie Lee Graham. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland after a short illness.

Donna was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina. She also attended Southern Technical College of Columbia, South Carolina. She was a domestic engineer of Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. Mitchell was active in her community. Donna was always willing and able to help others achieve their goals.

Mrs. Mitchell gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Donna touched the lives of many, young and old. Her loving spirit will be remembered by all those who loved and knew her.

Those left to cherish Donna’s fond and precious memories are her loving and devoted husband, Mr. James Lee Mitchell of the home; three loving sons, Henry Tiemain Gollson, Mr. Donell G. Woodard Sr., and Rico Montgomery, all of Columbia, South Carolina; her loving daughter, Ms. Zoe G. Albert of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters, Ms. Mary Scott of Jacksonville, FL, and Mrs. Deridre (Edward) Elkins of Mississippi; two brothers, Anthony Williams of Beaufort, SC and Willie James Williams of Columbia, SC; eleven grandchildren, Zy’Reek Corbit, Diamonta’ Tieman Gollson, Cierra Gollson, Briana Gollson, Raivyn Davis, Nehemiah Gollson, Trinity Robinson, Donisha Woodard, Donell Woodard Jr., and Jamiere; two half-sisters, Ms. Kayrine Brown, and Ms. Rosa Walker; one special cousin, Lena; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her daily.
