Desmond Jacori Bates

Mr. Desmond Bates was born in West Columbia, SC He was the beloved son of Tracey A. Bates and the late Marion Bates and the late Mason Baker. On Saturday, October 6, 2018 Desmond departed this earthly life for eternal rest with God at Palmetto Richland Hospital.

Desmond was educated in the public schools of Lexington County.

Desmond lived a full and happy life He was an amazing father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. He was always a cheerful person and loved his family. He was a very respectful young man that would do anything he could for anyone. He was a very blessed young man that would open his heart up to make a person smile.

Desmond was preceded in death by his adopted mother, Marion Bates of West Columbia, SC and Mason Baker of Columbia, SC.

Bates of West Columbia, SC, Marvin A Bates of West Columbia, SC; one special cousin, Diane Bates of West Columbia, SC; Grandmother, Barbara Woods of Lexington, SC; uncle, Briant Bates of West Columbia, SC; aunt, Andrenna (Kevin) Bannister of Gaston, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends as well whom will miss him dearly.
