Corey Leroy “Pepper” Prophet, 39, died December 13, 2019, after a short illness. Born to Henry Leroy and the late Christine Elaine Boykin on August 6, 1980, in Columbia, South Carolina. He attended Richland One Public Schools graduating from Keenan High School in 1997. He was employed with Giddens Janitorial Services and had been a dedicated employee since 2013. He was a devoted father to his children. Corey accepted Jesus at an early age and was taught the gospel under the leadership of the late Reverend Talmo Leevy and he was a believer of Christ. Corey was preceded in death by his mother Christine Elaine Boykin and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Corey is survived by two sons, Ceion Cherry, 20, and Shyon Martin, 11; a daughter, Peyton Martin, 10; his father, Henry Leroy Boykin; a brother, Harvey Furtick (Roshawnda); sister, Shirley Furtick (Ronnie) all of Columbia, SC; a half-sister, Sandra Oliver of Virginia; a God sister, Selisa Scott Tucker (Jimmy); a special nephew, Issac Lewis, Jr. and 16 other nephew and nieces of Columbia, Georgia Minnesota, and Virginia, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly.
